The book, Rejoice in the Lord Always--The Jeff Hillman Story, tells of the Hillman family returning from a trip to Canada. As they traveled through Illinois, the Hillman's were not aware of an outbreak of Reye's Syndrome there. Jeff was 7-years old, and when cold-like symptons appeared, they gave their child baby aspirin.

The disease came on quickly, and Jeff was in a stage 4 coma in the ICU at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for 16 days.
From that point on, miracles have become a growing and obvious part of the Hillman family.
Jeff knows he will be fully cured, and his father, Ralph Hillman, told of a recurring dream of a party with bands and pizza celebrating Jeff's full recovery.
Although that has not yet occured, Ralph agreed to allow WGNS to broadcast from this event when it happens.
Former broadcaster/journalist Bill Conger wrote the book. His life was touched by Jeff while attending a class at Middle Tennessee State University taught by Dr. Ralph Hillman.
Bill noted, "At first, I thought the incidences were interesting and unusual. Now, they have changed my perspective on life. Jeff has made a positive difference in my life."
And that is what the book, Rejoice in the Lord Always--The Jeff Hillman Story, will do for you.
There will be another book signing at Hastings Bookstore on Memorial Boulevard. It will be Saturday afternoon, October 19th, from noon to 4:00PM. In addition, another one is slated for Reeves-Sain Drugstore, but that date has not been set. Stay tuned to WGNS for details.
