Interview with Family of Lorrie Barrett Straughn who was killed in a Labor Day Accident

We have more news on Lorrie Barrett Straughn, the 37 year old woman who was killed in a two vehicle crash in Murfreesboro on Labor Day (9/5/16).

The mother, who got married to Jarred Straughn just three years ago, leaves behind a baby who was born in April of this year.

WGNS spoke to a cousin of Lorrie who told us that Lorrie always wanted to be a mother...

That was Lorrie's cousin Rachel Hartman.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that an oncoming van crossed over the center line on East Main Street (Old Woodbury Highway) and hit Lorrie head on. Lorrie was killed in the crash, but her newborn named Ivie survived with minor injuries that included several broken bones.

Lorrie is survived by her husband Jared, her newborn Ivie and stepdaughter Ellie Straughn.

She is also survived by her parents, Pam and Tommy Barrett, her sisters, Holly (Dan) Danburg and Brooke (Clay) McClain, nieces and nephews Layla Danburg, Dwight Danburg, and Noah McClain
