Nashville Metro Police have yet to make an arrest in a rape case that unfolded near Percy Priest Lake at the Hamilton Creek Recreation Center, so WGNS thought that we would further circulate the information in case our listeners have any details for detectives.

Follow-up conversations with the 18-year-old woman attacked and raped on Thursday, August 4th, at Hamilton Creek Recreation Center leads detectives to believe that the victim's assailant fled in a black 2000's model Japanese-type car that had a tan interior. She remembers that the car was dirty and had a radio antenna on the front.

The victim also recalls noticing a potential witness who could have seen the assailant flee to his vehicle between noon and 12:30 p.m. on August 4th. The potential witness is a man with blonde hair who was sitting in a parked silver Chevrolet Camaro-type car as the victim emerged from the woods near the trailhead after the attack.

The Sex Crimes Unit is continuing to actively pursue leads in this case. Anyone with information about the assailant, who is described as being of Hispanic descent, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, who wore khaki pants, a black shirt with possible black stripes and sunglasses, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or the Sex Crimes Unit at 615-862-7540.

A composite sketch of the suspect, drawn by a TBI artist and publicly released on August 5th, accompanies this release (the sketch on the left). A sketch of a rape suspect with a similar description from a July 20th case on Hickory Hollow Place, also publicly released on August 5th, is included as well (the sketch on the right).
