With a feeling of pride, several hundred members of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro participated in prayer at the new Veals Road at Bradyville Pike facility on Friday (8/10/2012).

Several hundred persons arrived for the first prayer service in a room that is designed for about 450 followers.

This is the most sacred time of the year for Islam folowers. Ramadan began July 20th and Eid al-Fitr concludes on Sunday, August 19th.

Local members of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro have increased in number since they began worshiping here approximately thirty years ago.

Iman Ossama Bahloul stressed that this is a place of prayer, and not a training center or mega mosque. To show a size comparison, the photo below is taken from Veals Road and shows Grace Baptist Church and its new neighbor, the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.
