A 29-year old Jackson man was arrested by Murfreesboro Police in the 400 block of Vine Street on various drug and weapons charges. Charles Bernard Jordan II was arrested after police were conducting a patrol on foot. The officer saw Jordan, through an open back door, allegedly stuffing a large bag with marijuana. The officer then saw a scale on the table. Jordan admitted to the drugs and when his bag was searched, a .380 firearm, a loaded magazine and other ammunitions were found. He was arrested and since he was a felon, Jordan was charged with felony possession of a firearm, felony possession of a schedule six drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jordan will be in General Sessions Court on May 4th to answer to the charges. He also had two outstanding warrants.
