The mother of County Commissioner Will Jordan and the wife of the late Ed Jordan, former County School Board chairman, has passed away. Jane Batey Jordan, age 84, died Friday at Adam's Palace. She leaves behind another son, Buddy Jordan and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jane Jordan will be Monday at 11am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation is Sunday from 4-8pm at Woodfin.

Mrs. Jordan was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. She attended training school and was a 1948 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School. Ed and Jane Jordan owned and operated Cow Palace Dairy until their retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Murfreesboro Women’s Club, the Little Garden Club, the Flower Club, and was a member of the Women’s Committee of the Rutherford County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to the “Ag in the Classroom” program through the Rutherford County Farm Bureau.
