Jefferson Pike Wreck Claims Life, Driver Charged

A weekend wreck claimed the life of a young woman and the driver is facing charges. It happened about 1:30 Sunday morning on Jefferson Pike in the county. Authorities say the driver, Niles Pistole, was speeding when he lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a tree. Emilee Jordan, a passenger in Pistole's car, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Pistole has been charged with vehicular homicide. He was also charged with D-U-I.
