The Jim Tracy for Congress campaign announced in a Wednesday press release it raised $303,000 in the second fundraising quarter.

“Sen. Jim Tracy’s overwhelming support continues to show in his strong fundraising numbers each quarter,” said Shane Reeves, who serves as the finance chairman for his congressional campaign. “The numbers show that the citizens of the 4th Congressional District want an effective conservative leader that they can trust. Jim Tracy is the person for the job.”

The Tracy for Congress campaign has focused on building a grassroots organization with more than 350 individual donations contributing to the campaign.

“Every day my wife, Trena, and I continue to be humbled by the support from so many folks in the 4th District,” said Tracy, a Republican from Shelbyville who serves in the Tennessee Senate. “I have now had the opportunity to visit with people from every county in the district, and I won’t let them down if I have the honor to serve them in Congress. We need real solutions that cut spending, rein in government control, and keep taxes low.”
