State Senator Bill Ketron of Murfreesboro has been re-elected by his colleagues to lead the General Assembly’s Fiscal Review Committee.  Ketron was elected at a meeting on Monday to serve as Chairman of the joint House and Senate committee, which serves as the watchdog for all state government spending. Ketron has served as Chairman of the 17-member panel for the past four years. The bi-partisan Fiscal Review Committee conducts a continuing review of the financial operations of state government.  It also reviews state contracts and is responsible for preparing and distributing the fiscal notes that show how proposed legislation would impact state and local governments financially.
