La Vergne "Disturbance Call" leads to finding "Pot Growing House"

La Vergne police responded to a disturbance call Saturday (8/18/2013) and discovered a pot plantation.

Grow House Operation Discovered

When officers arrived at 1118 Poplar Hollow Road in La Vergne, they found what appeared to be an argument between neighbors. The smell of marijuana was obvious on one of the men. When asked, he admited to having smoked.

At that point, La Vergne police got a search warrant and then carefully went through the home. They discovered more than 300 marijuana plants in this grow house operation.

Calvin Gotler Arrested

48-year old Calvin Gotler was arrested and charged with two felonies: maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and manufacturing for resale. He also received misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Gotler was booked Saturday night in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, but was released early 1:35 Sunday morning after making $12,000 bond.
