The La Vergne Police Department conducted a city wide underage alcohol sales sting recently that targeted every retail establishment that sells alcohol. Officers from every division in the department participated in the operation last week. During the operation, six stores within the City of La Vergne sold alcohol to an adult under the age of twenty one.

The six stores that sold alcohol to the adult decoy are:

·         H&S Market located at 5207 Murfreesboro Rd.

·         La Cabana located at 5230 Murfreesboro Rd.

·         Laos Oriental Grocery located at 5270-A Murfreesboro Rd.

·         Larro’s Market located at 415 Old Nashville Hwy.

·         La Vergne Super Cheap Tobacco located at 206 Old Nashville Hwy.

·         Tobacco Brew and Chew located at 5104 Murfreesboro Rd.

Sergeant John Eubank says selling alcohol to minors is a serious problem that can have deadly consequences and the La Vergne Police Department will continue to conduct covert operations such to maintain the safety of the public.
