La Vergne Surplus Auction Underway

An auction is underway in La Vergne as they city disposes of surplus property. Through Monday, October 8 at 8:00 a.m., 25 items are up for bid on GOV DEALS, an online auction site available to government agencies.

Some of the items include a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 SL Extended Cab Short Bed 2WD truck, a 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati Convertible, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE sedan, Campbell Hausfield 80 gallon compressor, John Deere Mower, 1981 Ford LN8000 dump truck, Single Furrow Plow, assorted books, numerous additional trucks and cars, and even a fuel storage tank. “Several items being auctioned are vehicles awarded to the city from the courts,” said Bruce Richardson, interim city administrator. “The city has no need for these vehicles and equipment, so this is a convenient way to dispose of items that we no longer need.”

Proceeds from the auction will go either to the drug fund if they were drug seizures or back to the city department selling the items.
