"La Vergne continues to shine as a good place to live," said Mayor Dennis Waldron. "This is a great city for young families because we offer a lot of community activities like baseball and softball, we have a good library with reading programs all year, and our schools are top-quality. I am lucky that La Vergne has been home to my family for 200 years."

"La Vergne's strong performance was bolstered by its affordability and quality schools. Additionally, over a third of the city's households are home to a child under 18, making this one of the state's most family-friendly communities," said Sara Collins, media contact at NerdWallet. "La Vergne has also ranked among NerdWallet's top ten places in Tennessee for homeownership , thanks to its low monthly homeowner costs and healthy population growth."
