The Blue Raiders (21-9), who have reached the postseason in each of Head Coach Rick Insell's 10 seasons, are one of three C-USA teams to make the 64-team field. Southern Miss and Old Dominion also received berths.

It marks the 12th consecutive postseason trip for Middle Tennessee overall with 10 NCAA Tournaments and two WNITs during the stretch.

"It is not the NCAA Tournament but it is the next-best thing," Insell said. "We are very fortunate to be able to stand here and know we are in the WNIT and we still have a chance to go out and play more basketball. It never hurts to go into a tournament and win games. There are a lot of teams that get more time to work and more games by being in the WNIT. We appreciate the opportunity to extend our season."

Middle Tennessee is making its fourth appearance in the WNIT and first since 2008. The Blue Raiders have previously played in the event in 1999, 2001 and 2008. They are 1-3 in the WNIT with the lone win coming against Western Carolina at Murphy Center in 2008. Middle Tennessee followed the win with a 68-66 overtime loss at Kentucky in the second round.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $4 for students. When purchasing online, fans should select the TicketFast option to print your tickets at home.
