Leadership Rutherford Program for Youth

Ambitious high school sophomores and juniors need to learn about the Leadership Rutherford program for youth.  at www.rutherfordbep.org/programs/ylr. The program runs from September until May.

It consists of an overnight weekend orientation in September and one program a day per month during school hours October through April. Graduation ceremonies are in May. Other requirements include a group project, six individual project cards, and journaling assignments. YLR graduates are given one half credit on their school transcripts in leadership studies.

Youth Leadership Rutherford is a selective civic education and engagement initiative for high school juniors and seniors in Rutherford County. It is directed by the Leadership Rutherford Chair, Executive Director, and Business Education Partnership Foundation (BEP) Executive Director.
