“Mr. Murry is energetic and people centered,” Director Odom said. “In his interview he noted the high achievement record of Stewarts Creek Middle and stated his commitment to building a team that will continue and enhance that tradition.”

Murry is a veteran educator of 14 years. He previously served as an assistant principal at Smyrna Middle School, taught science at LaVergne Middle School and taught science at Franklin High School in Williamson County. His teaching certification is in the STEM area of science.

“I am elated and excited to have the opportunity to be the Stewarts Creek Middle School principal,” Murry said. “I look forward to working with the great faculty, staff and community to continue the tradition of academic excellence.”

Murry succeeds Larry Creasy, who recently was appointed as principal of Siegel High School. LaVergne High Principal Dirk Ash will select a new assistant principal soon to replace Murry.
