Limited Openings In "Garden Basics" Class...Act Quickly!

The Master Gardeners of Rutherford County are accepting registrations for a limited number of seats remaining for their annual Garden Basics class series. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9pm, at the Lane Agri-Park Community Center building located at 315 John R Rice Boulevard. Class dates for the 2014 (5-week) series are January 28th, February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.

Garden Baiscs
 
Garden Basics 2014 is designed to help beginning gardeners and those new to horticultural activities, or persons new to gardening in Middle Tennessee. The course is also popular with experienced gardeners looking to pick up some new insights and expand their knowledge.
 
All Garden Basics classes are taught by Certified Master Gardeners, in cooperation with the local University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University Extension Service. Class topics include information on starting the garden, site selection, landscaping, basic botany, composting, soil fertility, pest management, garden design, cool-season gardens, how to grow the “top 10” vegetables, and more.
 
Few Openings Remain
 
Registration Fee is $45.00 and includes all course materials, drinks and snacks, instruction from Certified Master Gardeners, plus the opportunity to enjoy fellowship with other gardeners. Class size is limited to the first 45 registrants.
