Linebaugh Public Library will be hosting two local authors during the first full week of October. Jan and Anthony Howse will be signing their book, God Does No Wrong, on Tuesday, October 6th, from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. D. Allen Butcher will be at Linebaugh to sign his book, Sixty Years in the 20th Century: A Pilot's Memoir, on Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m.

God Does No Wrong is a true story of tenacious faith, courage, and unbelievable endurance. The authors will keep you spellbound as you follow how a wife and mother struggled through numerous situations of abuse, illness, and death to find peace and some kind of understanding from the tragic accident that ended her young son's life. The beauty of this story escorts you along grueling questions about why God's will would ever allow such agonizing human suffering and loss into the enlightened view of His endless love and mercy. The authors are presidential members of the American Association of Christian Counselors and continue to help others realize there is life after death.

In Sixty Years in the 20th Century, D. Allen Butcher looks back from his birth in 1939, to weave a unique perspective on life in America during the last sixty years of the twentieth century. He begins his story during the tumultuous days of World War II when his young life tends to change suddenly, based on the needs of the nation. Uncertain about his career path, the author finds his "niche" in the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Tennessee and qualifies for the Undergraduate Pilot Training program. He follows with his tours of duty as an air force transport pilot, culminating in his sometimes heart pounding wartime experiences in Vietnam. Answering the call of the nation's airlines for pilots, the author abandons his air force career path and begins his slow climb up the seniority list of a major airline. From his flight logbooks, he focuses on the events of each year and how they parallel the country's social and political changes. Finally, he ends with an emotion-filled account of his last flight and the satisfaction of having completed a career that exemplifies the professionalism found throughout our nation's airline pilot group.

Butcher will be signing and selling copies of his book for $15 each, cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
