Local Business Leader Peter Demos To Address "Living Sent Ministries"

MURFREESBORO - Murfreesboro business leader Peter Demos is the keynote speaker for Living Sent Ministries' annual fund raising dinner at 6:00 o'clock Tuesday evening, June 17th. It will be at the Mill in Lebanon. According to the group's website, their purpose is to inspire and equip business and professional people to live out their Christian faith

Peter will share how he lives out his faith as a Christian restaurant owner with locations across  Middle Tennessee.

Peter Demos started in the family business at the age of 12 as a dishwasher and has grown to lead the successful corporation as president and attorney for Murfreesboro based Demos' Steak and Spaghetti House. As such,he is responsible for all of the operations and legal affairs for Demos’ restaurants in Middle Tennessee, as well as the new Peter D’s which just opened on Medical Center Parkway here in Murfreesboro.  He is also president of Peter D’s Seasonings which sells retail seasonings. 

Peter is also very active in community service as past chair for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, past president for the Tennessee Hospitality Association, and currently sits on the National Federation of Independent Businesses' Leadership Council.
 
Other experiences include Transit Alliance, 2011-2013, Citizen Transit Leadership Academy 2012, Treasurer for the Rutherford County Convention and Visitors Bureau, 2003-2009, Leadership Rutherford Council, 2006-2009, Tennessee Hospitality Transition Board, 2009 Director, Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce, 2008 Member, Wilson County CVB, 2002, Co-Chair United Way’s Week of Caring, 2007, Chair of Taste of Hendersonville, 2007, Graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee-2010, and Graduate of Leadership Rutherford- 2006.
 
He has been awarded by the DNJ as a top 20 business leaders under 40, and by the Nashville Business Journal for top 40 under 40.
 
Peter has a B.S. in Sociology from Middle Tennessee State University and a J.D. from University of Missouri, Kansas City.  He is married to Kristin Demos and they have two children, Jamey, 11, and Karys, 9.

According to Living Ministry's Founder and President Jerry Moll, dress for the evening is semi-formal and the banquet will begin promptly at 6:00PM. The Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and operated as a woolen mill from 1908-1998. it is located at 300 N. Maple Street in Lebanon.
