Local Church Feeds SRO

A small local church steps out to feed those who put their lives on the line every day to keep our children safe. Rutherford County Sheriff's School Resource Officers were treated to a catfish lunch Thursday at Central Magnet School after their in-service, provided by Holly Grove Baptist Church. Nearly 50 brave men and women were shown the love of their community for their service by the Lascassas church. The pastor, Matt Harris, sees the sacrifices these SRO's make every day in his job as a staff member of Smyrna Middle School. He rallied his church to help feed the deputies a catfish dinner, complete with white beans, hushpuppies, fries and homemade desserts. If you'd like to see some of the photos from the day's lunch, we have them posted at WGNSRadio.com, keyword SRO.
