Local Helps Send Veterans on Honor Flights

  Email   Print

MURFREESBORO - Honor Flight, based in Clarksville, honors surviving World War II and Korean War veterans with flights to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Michael Zeitz, a Murfreesboro member of the Tennessee Society of the Children of the American Revolution, has decided to take this up this effort as a project. His project is two fold...

Up to one-thousand World War II veterans die every day, so Zeitz says it's important to act now....

It costs around $500 to send a veteran to Washington. Zeitz says a donation of any size is helpful. To make a contribution and for more information, you can call Zeitz at 895-6027. Also head to, keyword honor, for a link to the Screaming Eagles Honor Flight website.
