Comfort Ye Ministry was believed to have been struck by lightning Wednesday afternoon. This ministry is operated by the Heartland Baptist Church Family. Evidently after the lightning strike, the structure at 307 East Jefferson Pike caught fire.

Comfort Ye Ministry is a donation based help program to those who have a need of medical equipment and food. The fire destroyed items that aid those who have little to nothing.

At this time the facility that housed the donated items is believed to be a total loss. We are told that all of the equipment and food that were in the building were destroyed and are unusable. They did however confirm that another building on the Heartland Baptist Church property that houses some of the larger equipment was not damaged.

You can still call and help will be available for those in need. Dusty Ray with the ministry told us they will indeed find a way to help those in need, despite of the recent loss caused by a fire that started with a strike of lightning. 615-890-3834
