Providence Christian Academy has been awarded a $2,500 grant from State Farm for participating in the recent Celebrate My Drive safe driving campaign. This year, State Farm introduced Celebrate My Drive as an opportunity for communities to rally around teens as they learn to drive.  PCA will utilize the grant to establish a program for high school students that encourages safe driving practices.

“Developing safe driving practices in teen drivers is very important,” said Kevin Carter, Upper School Principal.  “We’re grateful that State Farm is taking a proactive approach to teen driver safety by awarding this grant and we look forward to implementing programs that will strengthen the driving skills of our students.”

National Teen Driver Safety Week is observed the third week of October, to bring attention to the number one killer of American teens, car crashes. During the week State Farm encourages parents, young drivers, lawmakers and educators to focus on working together to change risky teen driving behaviors and help save lives.
