Volunteer Rutherford has compiled a list of opportunities for teenagers to volunteer during the week of October 7-11 in Murfreesboro.

The list, which can be found at www.volunteerrutherford.com, includes opportunities with Candle Wishes Foundation, Community Care of Rutherford County, Discovery Center, Feed America First, Mindful Care, Northside Healthcare Nursing Home, Read to Succeed, Smyrna-LaVergne Food Bank, United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, Wilderness Station and Youth Empowerment through Arts & Humanities.

“It's often hard for teenagers to find time in their busy schedules to meet required service hours,” Becky Lanham, Founder of Volunteer Rutherford said. “By compiling this list, we hope to make it easier on students and parents to find opportunities to take part on while they are on break from school.”

In addition to this specialty list for teens, Volunteer Rutherford's website always has a listing of current needs of local non-profit agencies and also an event calendar.  You can stay up-to-date on the latest needs in our community by liking their Facebook page at facebook.com/volunteerrutherford or signing up for their newsletter on their website.
