What has been described as an apartment complex for low and “very-low” income earners in Rutherford County will officially open at 3:00, Friday afternoon in Smyrna. The opening of the new 100-unit complex was confirmed by Josh Gibson, the Communications Coordinator for the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

The Woodbine Community Organization has completed a Low Income Housing Tax Credit development to support persons of low income with affordable rental housing. This new complex is on Ashton Circle in Smyrna. To be a resident, a family of four cannot earn over $24,000 annually. That is 60% less than the area median income average of $40,000.
