A fight outside a storage unit on Park Avenue lands one man in jail after he reportedly attacked another man with a machete. Murfreesboro Police Officer Joshua Meredith reports a witness saw Elton James Richardson, a 33-year old homeless man, attack another man outside his storage unit with a machete then a 2-by-4. Both the victim and Richardson showed signs of a struggle, according to the officer's report. Both were examined by paramedics but refused treatment. Richardson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was jailed in lieu of 12-thousand dollars bond. He's schedule to appear in General Sessions Court on July 28th.
