A suspect in a pool stick theft was arrested after stealing over $3,500 in pool sticks and then having a change of heart and returning the sticks. The theft was reported at Murfreesboro Billiards early Wednesday morning.

The victim called the police after seeing the subject walk out of the pool hall with her pool stick case carrying over $3,500 worth of pool sticks and miscellaneous items with him. When the 25-year old subject had a change of heart and brought the sticks back, police asked the victim if she wanted to move forward in filing charges. She responded in the affirmative.

The culprit, who is from LaVergne,  was charged with theft “Over $1,000.” He was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center under a $2,500 bond. The local man, who works in a newly established distribution center in our area, is scheduled to appear in court this August.
