A man who lives in an apartment at Vintage at the Park on Barfield Crescent Road has been charged with reckless endangerment with a weapon after allegedly firing a gun through his ceiling. The shot evidently went into the above apartment.

54-year old Michael D. Herring supposedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to cleaning his shotgun and accidently firing it. Furthermore, it has been alleged that Herring never checked on the welfare of his upstairs neighbor after the incident. We are told that the neighbor was fine and not injured in the mishap.

Because Herring failed to report the incident when it happened, he was arrested after the hole was discovered at 9:00, Thursday morning. He will appear in court on March 28.
