A man and a woman were charged with the manufacturing, delivery or sale of a scheduled two drug on Tuesday. Murfreesboro Police reported that they received information suggesting the occupants of a hotel room on Chaffin Place were in the process of manufacturing crack cocaine.  Officers acted on the tip and responded to the Microtel Inn.

Once on the scene, police interviewed 27-year old George Aaron Simpson and 31-year old Mandi Jo Matthews. Inside the hotel room, police documented that they found a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance. To make matters worse, police say that Old Fort Academy pre-school is located within 1,000 feet of where the suspects were said to be in possession of illegal drugs. The two suspects will face manufacturing charges in court on February 5th.
