Man and a Woman Busted in Traffic Stop After Allegedly "Cutting Off" Another Vehicle

Murfreesboro Police witnessed a vehicle make an improper lane change, cutting off another car on Wednesday and ended up pulling the subject over and making two arrests. The arresting officer wrote in a report that suspect Anthony J. Donoghue from Bellevue appeared to be nervous and visibly shaking when getting out of his car.  When questioned, he allegedly lied to police about his real name. His true identity was quickly determined and it was realized that he was wanted in Williamson County. He was wanted in Williamson County for violating his probation. He was also cited for driving on a revoked license.

A passenger in the car was also questioned by authorities and that passenger was apprehended. Nichole Blackwell, also from Bellevue, was found to be in possession of Adderall (she did not have a prescription with her for the drugs), a small baggie of marijuana and a set of digital scales according to the document that WGNS received from the MPD on Thursday morning.

Donoghue was locked up in the local jail without bond and is being held for Williamson County officials while Mrs. Blackwell was booked under an $8,000 bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court on August 29th in Rutherford County General Sessions Court. As of 11:00 Thursday morning, both were still being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on the New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro.
