A 36-year old Netherlands Drive man faces various charges after a Murfreesboro Police gang unit covert operation. Marcus Lanier Haynes was arrested last Thursday after police observed him push a female out of the passenger side of a black Chevy Cavalier, parked in the Dollar General parking lot on Bradyville Pike. Haynes, while being booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, was strip searched where about 16 grams of crack cocaine, nearly three ounces of power cocaine and a small amount of marijuana was found in his "butt-cheek area." In addition to the assault charge, he was charged with felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor marijuana possession and introducing contraband into a penal institution. Haynes was booked on 16-thousand dollars bond and will be in General Sessions Court on January 7th.
