A 51 year old Murfreesboro man was arrested twice in one day on Thursday.

Christopher Lett was first taken to jail at 4:30 in the morning on Thursday for a DUI charge. Lett apparently ran over a curb and failed to maintain his lane of travel while driving down Broad Street. When he stopped for officers he was said to have bloodshot eyes and later failed a field sobriety test. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a crack pipe was found in Lett's front seat.

Lett was taken to the hospital for a medical problem then back to jail where he was eventually released after being charged with DUI.

Later that same day at 5:30 in the evening, Lett was stopped on Minerva Drive after running a stop sign. This time around Lett was stopped by a different Murfreesboro Police Officer who found crack cocaine in his car. Lett was charged with Simple Possession of a Schedule Two Drug. The police report showed that he had another crack pipe in his car as well so he was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Lett, who is out on bond, will appear in court on March 8, 2016.
