Man Charged With Attempted Murder of a Child

A 35-year old Murfreesboro man is facing attempted second degree murder charges and charges of attempted aggravated child abuse after allegedly trying to break a baby’s neck. The incident occurred in the Middle Tennessee Medical Center parking lot this past November. Police had to wrestle the baby away from Glen Climer II in order to get the child to a safe location. A blood test on Climer proved that he had allegedly been using methamphetamines prior to his apprehension. Climer was indicted by a Grand Jury this month and will appear in circuit court on January 17th. The Twin Oaks Drive man is being held under a $100-thousand dollar bond.
