A 30-year old Murfreesboro man was charged with DUI number 6 on Monday morning.

Andrew J. Hoover was believed to be involved in an accident on Lascasses Pike at about 3:00 Monday morning. When police arrived they found the truck lodged against a utility pole, but could not find the driver of the truck. Officers ran the tag number on the pickup and discovered that the owner lived in Murfreesboro.

Inside the truck prior to finding the driver, officers located an open bottle of Vodka. They also found an iPad and a cellphone on the floorboard. A brief investigation led police to and apartment on Willowbrook Drive where police found Andrew Hoover. Paramedics were called to the apartment to treat Hoover for any injuries he may have received in the accident, but he refused treatment. Hoover had marks on his chest and arms that were said to be consistent with both a seatbelt and an airbag.

Hoover was eventually arrested and charged with DUI number six, according to a Murfreesboro Police Report released to WGNS on Tuesday (2/23/2016).

Hoover will face the courts on April 27, 2016. He is currently free on bond.
