A 21 year old man in Murfreesboro was possibly drugged and later sexually assaulted. The incident occurred on Saturday.

The victim told police that he was walking in the rain on West Main Street when a black male driving an orange Kia Soul pulled alongside him and asked if he needed a ride. Due to the weather conditions, the man accepted the offer and got inside the car.

The two drove to the gas station where the driver bought a Sprite. Then, they headed to Old Fort Park where the driver offered the 21 year old a cigarette.

While stopped in the park and smoking cigarettes, the driver allegedly asked the man if he liked intercourse. The driver then offered the victim money for sexual favors, twice. After a couple of minutes went by, the young man who accepted the ride started to feel as if he were paralyzed. He believes the cigarette was laced in something.

The two then drove away from the park and as the victim was in the paralyzed state. The victim says the man groped him while driving. When the man dropped the victim off at Stones River Mall, he started to have chest pains.

The victim found an off duty police officer who called for an ambulance. The victim had a seizure as he was being treated by paramedics after the ambulance arrived. He was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and later recovered.

The subject who gave him a ride has yet to be apprehended. The unknown black male was described as having short hair and a goatee. Again, he was driving an orange Kia Soul.
