We have more news on the alleged stabbing that took place in Murfreesboro this past weekend. You may recall, 29-Year old Troy Short was found in the front yard of a home on Bridge Avenue over the with a stab wound to his stomach. Inside the house, officers found suspect Phillip Crase on a bathroom floor. Crase had blood coming from his face and chest.

An Incident Report filed by Officer Watson shows that Crase was transported to St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro and treated for his injuries while Short was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. After Crase was released from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with “Aggravated Assault.” As far as the reasoning behind the reported stabbing… it apparently had to do with an ongoing argument that stemmed from a fight that started in a nightclub. The Christiana resident was booked into the local jail at 5:30, Saturday morning. By 6:55 he had made his bond and was released.
