A man who entered the Platinum and Gold store on North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro had other intentions when he was shown several rings to buy. Evidently, he wanted to steal the rings.

On Tuesday, an employee at the jewelry store called the police and said that a man entered the store and told the worker he had $3,000 to spend. He further stated that his girlfriend was waiting for him in the car. When the salesperson pulled out several rings for him to closer examine, he grabbed one that was valued at $2,300 and ran out the front door.
