A 53-year old man accused of leading police on a dangerous pursuit in July has been arrested after being indicted by a grand jury this month. Ricky Dale George was charged with evading arrest, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license and resisting arrest.

In July police tried to stop George after spotting him in a high drug trafficking area. When police officer Palmer Gibbs activated his emergency equipment, George allegedly fled from him. During the pursuit, George reportedly drove through several yards before jumping out of the car and running.

Officer Gibbs caught George and with the help of an onlooker, wrestled him to the ground and placed him in handcuffs.

George will appear in court on September 17th.
