In our shoplifting story of the day, a man entered Walmart on South Rutherford Boulevard and left the store with a cart full of merchandise. The theft added up to $346 and some change. WGNS' Rafferty Cleary has more on the story.
VERBATIM:
This is not the first time that a shopper has casually pushed a buggy out the front door of the store that was loaded with goods stolen from the retailer. In fact, it happens all the time at both Walmart stores in Murfreesboro (S. Rutherford Blvd. and Old Fort Parkway).
In this most recent case, the culprit had less than $500 in goods in the cart. Therefore, he was only issued a misdemeanor citation and not physically arrested during his retail visit.
