Murfreesboro Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Americas Best Value Inn on South Church Street. Officer Jeff Carroll reports the robbery allegedly happened around 8:30 Friday night when the victim was approached by a black male. We've learned from the report the suspect asked the victim if he had any money he could spare. When he pulled out his wallet, he was robbed. Officer Carroll reports it's unclear from talking with the victim when the gun and knife was displayed as he was extremely intoxicated and hard to understand. The victim says after giving the suspect his wallet, he fled on foot. He got away with two-hundred dollars in cash and the victim's North Carolina I.D.
