The man who was shot by a homeowner near Mitchell Neilson Elementary School after a resident suspected him of theft this past June has been re-arrested on unrelated theft charges.

20-Year old Gage Dalling and a second suspect by the name of Kevin Webb, reportedly stole a DVD from Kroger. Dalling is the subject who was shot in the shoulder after being accused of theft in June. The two were pulled over by police after the alleged DVD theft.

Looking Back (June of 2013):

Dalling was shot with a .22 caliber gun. He was charged with 1-count Aggravated Criminal Trespass and 2 Counts of Burglary.

The subject apparently made his way to the home in question after parking his car in a neighboring driveway. Once at the Clark Blvd. address, the homeowner confronted Dalling in the area of his driveway and informed him to put his hands up. It was when Dalling allegedly went for his pocket that the victim fired a shot from the .22 striking Dalling in the upper portion of the arm near the armpit.

After being shot he was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center and released soon after and booked into the local jail. He was later released from jail an hour and 27-minutes after being booked.

No charges were filed against the homeowner for any wrongdoing in the original case WGNS reported in June.
