Masked Man Forces Way Into Home Halloween Night in Murfreesboro

One woman got more then she bargained for on Halloween night in Murfreesboro. A female, who lives in a home on Velma Drive, told police that a masked man armed with a knife barged into her house and demanded pain killers and jewelry. Although she did not have any pain killers, she did posses jewelry. A report filed by the victim shows that the masked man got away with nearly $2,000 worth of jewelry.

The victim told police the man had on what appeared to be a hokey mask, silver in color. The man was likely a white male, standing about five and a half feet tall. The aggravated robbery occurred at about 7:30, Wednesday evening.

While in the home, the culprit tried to force the victim to drive him to an ATM machine to use her ATM card. The victim refused to leave with the subject. Before the man fled the scene, he reportedly pushed the 56-year old victim to the floor. Detectives are now investigating the case.
