Men robbed victim of $8,000 when he went to purchase a car

A man was robbed of $8,000 while in the process of looking at a vehicle to purchase. The 55-year old victim says he met with two subjects in the area of Stones River Mall at around 7:00, Monday night. The man says the two subjects entered his vehicle and asked to see his money. One subject punched the victim in the face while the other displayed a revolver. The victim jumped out of the car and ran to Books-A-Million and called the police. The man left his money behind and the crooks also stole his gold chain.

Officers quickly arrived on the scene and detectives took over the case. An arrest has not been made.

It is not known if the two subjects responsible for this crime are the same culprits who robbed two other persons who were in Murfreesboro to buy a cell phone. In those two cases, the victims made arraignments to buy a phone through CraigsList.
