This is not your typical report...

Murfreesboro Police were dispatched to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital to investigate a shooting that took place in Detroit Michigan. Evidently, a 24-year old man who was visiting his home state of Michigan was shot by his 9-year old cousin. The man told police the 9-year old found the gun and when the victim tried to retrieve it, the weapon was fired and he was shot in the wrist.

Courtni Golden, the man who filed the report in Murfreesboro, said he tried to use some "home remedies" to treat his gunshot wound, but was unsuccessful. The man needed to hit the road as he had plans to drive to Memphis. Without seeking medical care in Detroit, he jumped in the car and took off. As Golden was driving through Murfreesboro, he told officers his hand started to tingle. As a precaution, he stopped by the Murfreesboro St. Thomas hospital on Medical Center Parkway.

Upon further questioning, the victim claims he has a phobia of hospitals. When officers asked for the address of where he was shot by a .25-caliber gun... he told police he did not know the address, but it is "right around the corner from his house."

Detectives were called to the hospital in Murfreesboro to further look into the reported accidental shooting that unfolded in Detroit.

On a side note, the police report did not state as to why he passed through Murfreesboro in order to get to his destination of Memphis, TN.
