Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors Names TOP Realtors

The Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® (MTAR) held their annual Installation and Awards Luncheon on January 17, 2014.  Chosen from among over 1200 REALTOR® members in MTAR’s 8-county area was Gordon Carlisle as 2013 REALTOR® of the Year and Phil Baker as 2013 Rookie of the Year. Based on nominations from their peers and points calculations for their service, these real estate professionals were recognized for their contributions in leadership, commitment and service for 2013.

Gordon Carlisle, of Keller Williams Realty in Murfreesboro, served as the 2013 Education Committee Chair for MTAR and is a new member of the association’s Board of Directors.  Other nominees for REALTOR® of the Year were: Bill Jakes, Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Associates, Murfreesboro; Greg Myers, Red Realty, Smyrna; Joi Sherrill, Keller Williams Realty, Murfreesboro; and Lynn Tede, Bob Parks Realty, Smyrna.

Phil Baker, of Century 21 United Realty in Murfreesboro, was recognized for his active participation in MTAR Public Relations Committee programs in 2013 and for leading his company in their October Community Service project with local senior citizens. Also nominated for Rookie of the Year was Tim Page of Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Associates in Murfreesboro.

MTAR proudly recognized ten new REALTOR® Emeritus members, awarded by the National Association of REALTORS® for achieving 40+ years in the REALTOR® family. New REALTOR® Emeritus members are: Jim Adcock, Reed Realty, Woodbury; David Craig, Craig & Wheeler Realty & Auction, Shelbyville; Tim Durham, Durham Realty & Auction, Murfreesboro; Tommy Hord, Bob Parks Realty, Murfreesboro; Bill Lamb, Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Associates, Murfreesboro; Pat Lee, Action Homes, Smyrna; Danny O’Brien, Bob Parks Realty, Murfreesboro; Chuck Reed, Ole South Realty, Murfreesboro; Jerry Shelton, Shelton Auction & Realty, Shelbyville; and Charlie Teasley, Appraisal Associates of Murfreesboro.

MTAR is a not-for-profit trade association serving over 1300 real estate professionals across the Middle Tennessee region. MTAR serves Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Marion, Moore and Rutherford Counties in Tennessee.
