Middle Tennessee State University is CLOSED due to inclement weather.

Remaining Friday day and evening classes will be cancelled, along with all planned university activities. University offices also will be closed. The only exception will be for operations essential to public safety and service to on-campus residents. Employees who provide essential services should contact their supervisors if they feel conditions are too hazardous for them to travel, university officials said.

At this point, no decision has been made on whether classes and university activities at MTSU on Saturday, Feb. 21, will proceed as scheduled.

However, students who feel they cannot safely travel to campus on Saturday should advise their professors to make appropriate arrangements. Faculty should accommodate students who feel they cannot safety travel to campus and post necessary information about resumption of courses. Employees should use discretion in reporting to work, and those unable to report should contact his/her supervisor and take annual leave.
