BELOW is past information released on Friday (2/22/13):

Murfreesboro Police are on the lookout for a missing 20-year old man. Chandler Beard, whose last known address was a motel in Murfreesboro called the Sleep Inn, was reported missing on Thursday. Beard's father who lives in Jackson, TN told local authorities the last time he saw his son was on the 19th and he was concerned for his safety. Beard apparently withdrew a large sum of money prior to being reported as missing. His father said that he showed a recent interest in firearms, but it is not known if he purchased a gun. Again, this is all according to a police incident report that was released by the police department on Friday when they notified the media that they were seeking to find Beard.

Beard was evidently seen by a friend on the 20th. It was learned that prior to seeing that friend, a police detective seized Beard's laptop and cell phone due to an alleged investigation, possibly in Nashville, into some type of pornographic image or images. WGNS gathered that information from an incident report released by the Murfreesboro Police Department. The specific information about that possible pornographic material was not released in the Murfreesboro Police Report that was dated February 20th. It has been confirmed that Beard has not been arrested in Nashville and he is not being held at the Davidson County Jail.  It has been confirmed that Beard was not arrested and is currently not facing any charges.

Murfreesboro Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS that a photo of Beard was entered into NCIC as a missing person.  Anyone with information as to his location should call the Murfreesboro Police Communications department at 615-893-1311.
