The opening of the new health insurance marketplace in Tennessee is now less than a week away, although many questions remain about this monumental shift in the way some people obtain their medical insurance. Tara Shaver with A-A-R-P of Tennessee says those who are looking for coverage but unsure how the online exchange will work, can reach out to a number of organizations across the state for information. Shaver says "you make a decision that's right for you. One of those is our 'Health Law Answers' website – and it's just healthlawanswers.org – it walks you through a really simple process to be able to look at your individual situation and what the options are for you." Currently, there are nearly 900-thousand Tennesseans without health insurance.

The Tennessee Association of Broadcasters told WGNS the following form should be sent to employees by employers by October 1, 2013. The form is on the Department of Labor website. However, before you send this form out you should check with your accountant, some of the items on this form may not have to be given to your employees if you do not offer health insurance, depending on the size of your company.
