Someone is taking the use of counterfeit bills to a new level. On Monday, two unknown subjects tried not one, not two, but five times to use counterfeit $100 bills at the Target store on Old Fort Parkway. Reports indicate the subjects tried to make small purchases to receive a large amount of change back at multiple cash registers. Their technique worked on several occasions when they purchased things like Tide detergent, a baby bib and M&M’s. The subjects were captured on surveillance video, but no arrests have been made at this point.

A black four door Infiniti G-35 was seen leaving the area, possibly with the subjects, after the incident occurred in the store. The fake money was placed into evidence for safe keeping.
