More Heroin Issues in Murfreesboro

A 26 year old Murfreesboro woman found passed out by a friend was charged with drug possession as she recovered at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Police were called to Center Point Drive this past week when a friend of the victim found her passed out in the bathroom. Paramedics and police arrived to the unresponsive female and an ambulance transported her to the hospital.

Murfreesboro Police found a used syringe where the woman was laying and a bag of white powdery substance that tested positive for heroin. With the drugs seized as evidence, officers went to St. Thomas Rutherford to meet with the female who was now awake and alert.

According to a police report, the victim turned suspect admitted to using both heroin and cocaine earlier in the evening. She was charged accordingly and the case was labeled as a drug overdose.
